"Authentically Inviting, Always Original" is the mantra of Houston's luxurious Hotel Icon. I really like that, because it's exactly what a good user experience should be. The new website showcases hotel photography while the immersive interactions throughout pull users into the hotel like a lasso draws a cow.
As animated lines draw out on every page to envelop the luxe imagery throughout the site, travelers can't help but feel like they are planning one of the most sumptuous stays in all of Texas.
The cross-promotions of the hotel’s amenities and premium accommodations are woven into the site’s structure so well that users can’t help but explore. It's okay if they get caught up in the moment, because when they’re ready to book, the module is always just one click away.
This site racked up a constellation. With an Honorable Mention on Awwwards, CSS Design Awards, and a Summit International Award, it’s safe to say that the Hotel Icon redesign was a big success. After all, everything’s bigger in Texas.
